 The commissioner is the liaison between the local council and all Scouting units.  The commissioner
is successful when units effectively deliver the ideals of Scouting to their members.

The Commissioner - A publication for Commissioners and Scouting Professionals

New Commissioners' Award from Boys' Life Magazine

Qualifications:

  • A unit commissioner qualifies when he/she serves at least two (2) 100% Boys' Life Units.

  • A roundtable commissioner qualifies after he/she has presented at least five (5) Boys' Life roundtable promotion features during the year that encourage all unit to become 100% Boys' Life Units.

  • An administrative commissioner qualifies when either 50 percent or more of the units in his/her area of service are 100% Boys' Life Units, or when he/she has a 10 percent or more increase in 100% Boys' Life Units, December 31, 2007 vs. December 31, 2006.
