The mission of The Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

The mission of the Finger Lakes Council, Boy Scouts of America is to provide the youth of our communities with character development, citizenship training and physical fitness

• By developing and delivering quality programs and services to unit volunteer leaders and chartered partners

• By providing safe, nondiscriminatory workplace environment for employees

• By maintaining and operating camps and other properties in a safe, legal, environmentally-friendly manner

• By conducting the business of the Council in accordance with the policies of the Boy Scouts of America in the Finger Lakes Region.

This mission will fulfill the broader mission of the National Boy Scouts of America, which is to…" provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness."

The Boy Scouts of America offers your son the fun of learning through experiencing new things in a safe, wholesome environment.  Scouting will help him develop character, values, and self confidence that will last a lifetime.  Scouting is a family program that builds tomorrow's leaders.

The Finger Lakes Council takes the health & safety of our Scouts very seriously.  Our Health & Safety/Risk Management Committee has developed monthly bulletins that are distributed to all units.  You can view them here, the information is good even if you are not a member..........yet.
